Bloom Day Part Two: Across the Street
Bloom Day just wouldn't be complete without a glimpse into the yard of our most floriferous neighbors, now would it? (pictures also taken on the weekend).
Note to self: for next year, need asters & anemones.
As you know your flower addict neighbor is away from her garden and in Florida caring for her 95 year old Dad who has been having a tough time lately. What a delight to give him a bit of a virtual tour of my garden and for me to see "home" during this stretched time. Thank you.
P.S. Anemones are lovely but watch out! They spread underground and they can take over unless you are ruthless. I am told that if they grow in shade or semishade they are not as rampant and that seems to be true in my garden. Also good for fall are good old crysanthamums. They come back year after year and will often bloom in late spring as well.

Cool... maybe other garden bloggers could do the same for future blog days, sneak in a few pics of the neighbors!
Wonderful photos! How nice to have a gardening neighbor.... Most of my gardening friends are in blogland.
I love that orange Dahlia. It looks like a very nice garden.
I like the orange dahlias, too. Your neighbor has good taste!

P.P.S. The orange flowers on this blog entry are not Dahlias. They are a cactus form of Zinnia.
