Here are a few nature-y moments brought to you from a recent short get-away to Middletown's (just east of Calistoga in Lake County) Four Springs Retreat Center

Bird & Flower Print

There was a period when my paintings were much influenced by botanical prints such as this one, which I got yesterday. The combination of bird, bug & plant was so appealing, I couldn't resist it.

Wild rose 'hips'

...seen out along the bike trail at sunset. Beautiful indian summer days we're having.

'Teasing Georgia'

'Teasing Georgia' always strikes me as a strange name for a rose, but there it is. A David Austin rose.
