foggy morn
with 'About Face' opening.
I love this rose.
And the way that licorice plant (helichrysum) in 'limelight'-- has woven into it. I'm definitely not a roses-in-isolation rose gardener.
Nasturtiums-- have been very slow coming back this year, but now they're here! softening up the edges of things.
This area in front of the studio has a lot of pots-- cuz we lost a number of things in the winter here. It's starting to bounce back, though.
'Medallion' does a curly un-furling.

Gorgeous rose and I love the yellow nasturtiums. Mine went on a major strike in the heat, but are regrowing now. We are still in the 90's during the daytime, but nights are cooling off.....Fall is welcome!
thanks, Connie... yes, fall seems like a good idea. The garden seems to be perking up a little already with the cooler temps.
Hi Lisa, love all the post around the studio entrance. I think that is such a nice mix, to have plants in the ground and pots as well nearby. Adds a lot of visual interest. Very pretty blog.
Thanks Ruth--- yeah, it started for practical reasons, but I like the effect, now too--especially when the plants start to overflow and soften up the edges of the pots some.
Beautiful rose, and I love the way the 'Limelight' really makes it glow.
