This little fellow hung around for so long, so undaunted by our presence, that I started to wonder about him. Finally, he (she?) did fly off. (You really do need to click on this one to enlarge it)

great photo! it does seem like sometimes when they're resting dragonflies become completely unaware of the world around them...maybe it's some kind of torpor state.
