I have a coneflower I bought last year called Double Decker, which gets a second flower on top of the first one. Some of the flowers look like yours, with just a few petals coming out of the cone. I heard it takes a couple of years before this trait develops fully in the Double Decker variety. Could yours be one of these?
Hi Connie-- wow, those must look interesting. No, it's not supposed to be that kind-- none of the others show anything similar, but I guess there's probably some relationship.
